Join SouthernCare Hospice as a Companion Volunteer!
Companion volunteers bring the gift of friendship to our patients in a home setting, assisted living facility, or skilled nursing facility. They enhance quality of life through regular visits by offering support, companionship, and assistance with non-medical tasks to ensure that patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort.
Service hours are flexible and scheduled according to your availability and the location. Companion volunteers provide enrichment and support in many ways!
- Hold a hand and share a story
- Read, sing, and listen
- Perform light housekeeping
- Watch a movie
- Play cards or make a craft together
