The Lake County Historical Society was was founded on 1875 by Timothy Ball and a group of like minded friends.. They were originally called The Old Settlers Union.

What We Do
We operate the Museum in the Historic Lake County Courthouse, on the square in Crown Point. We are looking for volunteers to be docents, do data entry, and help with various behind the scenes projects. We do community and student educational programing.
