Bring Comfort and Joy: Become a Companion Volunteer

Make a difference in someone’s life simply by being there. As a Companion Volunteer, you will bring comfort, dignity, and joy to patients through friendly visits in their home, assisted living, or skilled nursing facility. Your presence supports both patients and their families during a meaningful time of life.

What Companion Volunteers Do:

  • Share stories, listen, and offer a caring presence
  • Read aloud, sing, or enjoy music together
  • Watch a favorite movie or play a game of cards
  • Create crafts or enjoy simple activities
  • Provide light household support when needed

Qualifications:

·         Volunteer must be at least 18 with reliable transportation

·         Criminal background check, drug screening & TB test

·         Completion of hospice volunteer training and orientation
