Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana

Challenger NWI has been a shining gem in Indiana, providing space and STEM programs year round for every part of the community. From seasoned scientists to the earliest learners, we have impacted science lovers in every generation, seeing over 10,000 guests annually. We are a small but mighty team of educators and STEM enthusiasts excited to share our love of space and Earth science!

Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana is a space and STEM learning center located in Hammond, IN. While space is our namesake, we do much more than that. During the school year, our Center offers field trip programming for local schools and educational groups all about science, technology, engineering, and math. Throughout the summer, we provide summer camp options for a wide variety of ages and covering many topics. All year long, we host community events to celebrate our community, Earth, and solar system. On site, we have a planetarium, science lab, two space craft simulators, and an early learning room. We are not like any other museum or monument, as we hold schedule immersive, fully hands-on science events and classes.
